A bee, that's what's missing. Alas, it was too fast for me and eluded my futile attempts at capturing it for posterity for the blog, which is why you're looking at a not very good picture of just flowers.
Tomorrow I intend to be a shutterbug. There won't be any July 4th fireworks in the city because of the extremely dry, hot and windy conditions, so instead of fireworks I'll just roam around and see what I can see.
Edit: I just learned that they are doing fireworks in the park. Hooray!
