291 Whiskey


I found myself at 291 Whiskey the other day (on business, believe it or not), and while I was there I got the back story on this award winning brand. Apparently the proprietor, Michael Myers, is a former New York fashion photographer who left that trade a few years ago to be a whiskey maker, and almost immediately began collecting accolades and awards for his elixirs. Since I don't drink hard liquor anymore, I didn't try it, but my friends assure me that it's world class. You can buy it directly from the stylish distillery at 1647 South Tejon, or at purveyors around the city, state and country.

I imagine it might be available here, but as I don't drink at all, I never go into the liquor stores.
