Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Merry Christmas!

Did you have a good Christmas? We did! After sleeping in and opening presents, we went out to eat. I love whipping up a big meal at Thanksgiving, but the weeks leading up to Christmas are stressful for small business owners like me (especially if you're an army of one!), and by the time the big day arrives, I'm too exhausted to cook. So we got dressed up and went out to dinner, then took naps, and it was fantastic.

Here are some pictures I took on Christmas Eve. Pat and I drove around the Old North End, Shooks Run, Patty Jewett and the surrounding neighborhoods to admire all the beautiful Christmas lights. Cheers!

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to drive down Caramillo Street between Wahsatch and Weber. The people who live on this block string lights back and forth across the street, in addition to festively decorating their homes. It's magical!
This house on N. Union is a favorite of ours. It's so cheerful! Actually, this is a little low key for them -- other years have been far more exuberant!
