Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Viva Las Vegas or Bust! (Part 3)

As promised, a few pictures from our day at the Grand Canyon. It's hard to depict in mere photos how magnificent it is. You'll just need to go there some day and see for yourself. 😊
This little guy was quite the beggar, and everyone was charmed by his adorable ways. They were feeding him all kinds of things that were probably bad for him. People, don't feed the wildlife!
Pardon my venting, but this was annoying. These young women waited in queue, so to speak, just so they could get pictures on this cliff edge. Everyone did the same exact two poses. I watched three different women stand in that spot and fling their arms up, and another couple of them sit on the edge just so. Why? For Instagram, where you'll find a zillion of the same picture taken at the Grand Canyon or any other place that has a big vista. (At least they weren't doing yoga poses. Then I might have had to kick them off the edge. Kidding.) Come on, people! Be yourself! Stop trying to impress strangers! [/rant] On a side note, I mentioned the woman on the right in yesterday's Sunday style, and you may have noticed that she was wearing chunky platform shoes. Well, when she went to sit on the edge for this pose, she stumbled and almost gave me a heart attack! I don't know how much of a fall it would have been -- maybe it wasn't bad, considering there was no railing and lots of people were posing there, but still. It was a scary moment!

And finally, I mentioned in Saturday's post that there were quite a few more people at the Grand Canyon than I had anticipated. This very short video somewhat gives you an idea of the volume. I would like to go back sometime and really explore during a time of year when there aren't so many people about.

Spectacular!

You wonder what the squirrel thinks of the canyon.
