This evening I had to stop by a client's house right around dinnertime. They live near St. Francis, and since I was running early, I stopped on the way to take a picture of the hospital. The light was gorgeous. St. Francis has been empty since around 2010, and though it's been sold to a developer and there has been talk of repurposing it into artist lofts, there hasn't been any forward motion that I've heard. From what I understand, there's a ton of asbestos abatement that needs to be done (probably even more so in the 1960s-'70s wing, which is just visible on the left side of the photo above). I guess it'll just sit there all spooky-like until they get it sorted out. Until then, it makes a nice golden hour photography subject.

One wonders if the developer has enough cash flow to get it done.
