On Monday, Pat and I went fishing with a couple of friends who were visiting from out of town, Joe and Jami. Joe and Pat are both fans of Rosemont Reservoir, where they never fail to catch numerous trout because it's so well stocked. Also, it bears mentioning that every time I've ever been there it's practically deserted, which only leaves more fish for Pat and Joe to catch! (That's them in the photo above.) Jami relaxed on the shore and I took a little walk while the guys caught trout after trout. It was really a perfect day and I'm so glad I got up early and went with them.
A seagull! I'm always bemused when I see one at this altitude, since I think of them as coastal creatures. Rosemont sits at over 10,000 feet above sea level.
A rainbow trout lingering near the shoreline.
There were only two other fishing parties the entire time we were there. The first one is just visible in yesterday's picture, and the other one was this cute father-daughter duo across the lake from us.
