These two ladies perfectly sum up springtime in the Rockies. One of them is in shirtsleeves, the other bundled up in a heavy winter coat. Which one was dressed more appropriately for the day? Both of them! When you live at a high altitude and right up next to a mountain range, you learn pretty quickly that the weather is extremely strange and fickle, to say the least. One minute you're freezing, the next minute you're sweating -- especially when winter begins to wane. I'm no fool, I know that we'll be getting snow well into May, but it's not too early to dream of spring.
"March roars in like a lion
So fierce,
So fierce,
The wind so cold,
It seems to pierce.
The month rolls on
And Spring draws near,
And March goes out
Like a lamb so dear."
Lorie Hill
And now, for your viewing pleasure...

It's the same here- bright and sunny, but the moment you step into a building's shadow, you feel cold.
