Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The, Uh, Pathfinder (Yikes!)

Pat and I went for a nice, leisurely drive on Sunday. Originally we planned on going only to Cañon City, but we ended up wandering even further afield. We made a brief stop at a city park in Florence called Pathfinder Regional Park. This large metal sculpture greets you as you enter, and, well, it's just plain creepy! Ha! At first we didn't notice the staring, glowering eyes, but when we worked our way around to the other side of it, we nearly jumped out of our skin. It was hilarious! Of course I had to document the big guy for the blog. I'm sure the artist didn't intend for their creation to be quite so menacing, but to me this big hunk of metal looks like it wants to murder you in your sleep. So funny!

That is truly scary. I've been through Florence, but years ago, so maybe it wasn't there then - whatever, I'm glad I missed it.
