Seventeen Mile House Farm (Part 3)

Here's the lovingly restored farmhouse at Seventeen Mile House Farm, along with its windmill. More tomorrow.

Ah, a scene from my childhood. Of course, by the time I came along, they'd moved to metal supports for the windmills. Ever climb up one? I could never get up the nerve to go out on the little platform up top.
I am very cheered up today. Maybe you are to...it's the day after this post.

Hi Judith! I've never climbed a windmill. My grandparents' farm didn't have one, I guess because it's not so windy in Wisconsin. Or maybe there was one there before my time.

And yes, I am a happy camper today! I woke up to the great news this morning! Hive five from across the miles!

Gosh no. It actually RAINS in Wisconsin. No wonder they didn't have a windmill....I am still cheered up!
And nice to see the little platform even closer up. Noooo. I still wouldn't go out on it.
