Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Fourth of July (Part 4)

Another old building on the road to Pueblo on July 4th, and this one's an unsolved mystery. I've often seen it in the distance but this is the first time I've bothered to take a picture of it. Unfortunately I didn't have a long lens with me, so this is the best I could do. I can't tell if this was once a house, or a church, or some sort of community building. Certainly it can't have been a barn or stable with those big arched windows, even though it's in the middle of a field. Your guess is as good as mine! I sent this picture to my friend Caltara, who grew up in Pueblo, and she distributed it among her friends in hopes that someone might know the back story. If I ever get an answer, I'll blog it!

Sure looks like an old church.

A church is also the first thing that comes to mind for me.
