Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Red Rock Canyon in Summer (Part 1)

I was at Red Rock Canyon Open Space last week to do some maternity portraits, and while I was at it I took a few pictures for the blog. Talk about natural beauty! Here's the big rock formation that borders the pond there. So pretty.

A fascinating landscape.

Yes. Fascinating. Makes you think. Those rocks were once parallel to the ground as we know it....and were shoved up!! Almost to the vertical. I do love geology. Around here, it's pretty boring....all the rock layers are still parallel, just as they were laid down. Well, not in west TX, but there were volcanos there.
