Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Obelisk

There's a pair of obelisks in America the Beautiful Park that light up at night, but they're impressive by day as well. I've never seen the park as deserted as it was on Sunday even though the weather was gorgeous. The Superbowl was only 90 minutes from starting when I took this, so I guess everyone was already hunkered down in front of a TV. Does the grass in your part of the world get this dead looking in winter? Everything here looks like this right now, and it will until late May. But on the other hand, the mountain is at its most gorgeous in winter.

The grass takes a yellow tone here during the winter.
