Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

New Roof

The tiny kiosk by the pond in Green Mountain Falls is getting a new roof. As I always understood it, this was formerly the town's land office, but there's a plaque nearby that mentions a depot. I never knew that the hamlet of Green Mountain Falls ever had train service. What a tiny little depot indeed. It must have become the land office after the train service ended -- or perhaps it did double duty. On the other hand, look at the illustration on the plaque and compare it to the kiosk. Does it look like the same building to you? Perhaps the plaque refers to another building entirely, one that no longer stands.

It doesn't look the same. But the architecture fits a rail depot style.
