Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Throwback

Remember A-frames? They were sort of a mid-century craze based on an ancient architectural style. You don't see many of them being built nowadays, so this work in progress on the west side is a standout. As we were admiring it, the builder's mom (who happens to live next door) strolled over and filled us in on the details. Apparently it's going to be a duplex but I'm still trying to figure out how that's going to work out. It's on a big lot too, so I suppose the space next to it will be filled in next with another cool new house in due time.

It's hard to conceive of a home in this neighborhood going for $899,000, but that's the market in Colorado Springs these days. It ain't cheap to buy here anymore! I'm glad I bought my humble little house in 1997, when real estate was much more affordable for the average person.

As an A frame goes, that's quite a steep angle.
