Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Happy Fourth of July!

Hooray for Independence Day! Pat and I went out today looking for patriotic things or people to photograph, but the weather soon turned dark and ugly so I didn't get much. At one point it began to hail as we drove around, so we ducked down into the Trestle Arts District and parked under the overpass, and whom should we find waiting out the hailstorm there? These guys in their red truck, flying the Pride flag right alongside the American flag. That was certainly photo worthy! A few minutes later we dipped deep into the west side to grab a shot of a very patriotic barbershop. The final picture in this post was suggested by Pat, who noticed this tiny 1950s bungalow with its perfect green lawn and giant semi truck parked alongside. The truck is bigger than the house! Pat thought it was a very American kind of tableau and I have to agree.

Tomorrow I'll return to pictures of the Colorado Springs Garden Tour!
