I've never seen Canada geese (a.k.a. evil devil birds) in swiftly running water before, only ponds or lakes. When I saw these two angling for snacks in Monument Creek a couple of weeks ago I had to stop for a picture.

I would never have dreamed they would do such a thing. I thought geese were vegetarian! Come to think of it though, I really don't know what they eat.....
So I looked it up. Occasionally they eat small vertebrates...which includes little fish etc. Now I know.
They are very good at claiming popular beaches as their own around Stockholm.
