Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Let freedom make the sky really pretty!

It's hard not to be moved by such an awe-inspiring sight as fireworks bursting over your city skyline on the Fourth of July. We haven't had a city-sponsored fireworks show in Colorado Springs since about 2009, because of drought and fire risk. This year we were all thrilled to hear that there would be fireworks, so half the city's population crammed into Memorial Park to watch the show. Pat and I wanted a different view, though, so we found a spot high up on the west side to get some city skyline perspective. Fabulous! Here's a tighter shot, just for you :^)

And on a personal note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Janet. We love you and miss you.

So glad that you took a longer perspective on the fireworks. They are lovely and you had the best seat in town!
