Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Skywatch Friday

This larger than life-sized statue of legendary bronc rider Casey Tibbs sits in front of the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. If you live here, you've seen it. It's pretty hard to miss, sitting prominently alongside the interstate. I've never appreciated what a feat of engineering this statue must be. Look how all the weight of it rests only on the front two feet of the horse. It must have been very complicated to design and execute.

Of course that these statues call attention !. They seem alive, by the position of the horse.
Have a happy weekend!

A formidable sculpture. I've seen similar work, but on a much smaller scale, on display in our national gallery.
