Fireworks from last Saturday

A few images from last Saturday's fireworks show over Memorial Park. These were taken handheld, so I didn't get the cool "trails" you often see with great fireworks photography; long exposures like that definitely require a tripod. It was a last second decision for me to take pictures at all, and I couldn't find the quick-release plate for my tripod (in fact I was forced to stand next to a telephone pole and lean against it to steady my camera). I'm surprised they came out as well as they did! Next year I promise I'll actually prepare in advance so I can get better pictures!
