Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. June 2016 Theme Day: Shadow and Highlight

Today is Theme Day for City Daily Photo bloggers! Full disclosure: the first of the month sneaked up on me, and I only just realized about half an hour ago that it was Theme Day! I had no idea what the theme even was, so I was relieved to find that it was Shadow and Highlight, because that's the sort of image that I have a million examples of in my archives. Sure enough, a quick search gleaned this photo taken on February 23, 2014. I took it in front of the State Capitol in Denver, and blogged another couple of images from the series on February 27th, but this one never saw the light of day until now. I think it's a worthy image and I'm glad to finally have the chance to show it off!

Glad you got a chance to pull this one out of the archives - definitely worth showing!

You should have let this shine long ago. it's a perfect expression of the theme but the butterflied make it something special. (By comparison, I once had a post about Stephen King's house in Bangor, Maine. His wrought iron fence has bats.)

Thanks for all the comments, guys! Bob, I would love to see Stephen King's "bat fence", now that would be cool!
