Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The View from the East Side

The farther east you get in our city, the better chance you get of being able to see Pikes Peak from your house, because it's flat out there -- nothing to obstruct the view. I took this from the front porch of a friend's house yesterday. She lives pretty darn east of us. I love my cute little neighborhood but I envy her view! Also, two more things about this picture: 1) that patch of green grass is definitely artificial; it'll be May before things green up around here, and 2) I love the random giant dog looking directly into my lens while his person takes out the garbage.

Lived in what was called Vista Grande Terrace. The view from the front yard was all encompassing, Pikes Peak, Cheyenne Mountain, even the Sangre de Cristo Mountains far to the south.
