You have to admit that this is a little funny. The Mill Outlet is my favorite place to buy fabric and sewing supplies, because it's locally owned and not a huge box store/chain. We drove past it the other day to see when they planned to reopen, and this was the sign on their door. As you can see, they keep scratching out the date and writing in a new one, instead of just making new signs. The "reopen" date for Colorado seems to be quite fungible. As for me, my photography studio is still closed, and I look forward to being able to take customers again -- not just for monetary reasons, but because I just miss doing my job! Sigh.
Edit: I wrote this post and scheduled it in advance, a few days ago, and since then the confirmed date for reopening of small businesses like this one (and mine!) is... tomorrow! The governor has greenlighted the date and dubbed it "Safer at Home", meaning he'd much rather we not go shopping unless we absolutely have to -- but stores will be allowed to open. Some counties in Colorado have opted to stay shut down for a bit longer, but El Paso County is forging ahead. As for my own small business, Click Photography, I intend to take outdoor portrait sessions only, so I can stay a fair distance from my clients. I also intend to wear a mask whenever I'm out and about (including photo shoots) until the governor says it's safe not to do so.
