It wasn't really twilight when I took this photo, but "L'heure Bleue" is such a poetic sounding name for a post, how could I resist? The "bleue" that inspired me are those flowers that you see in the lower middle of the frame. As we were driving through Cheyenne Canon a couple of weeks ago, Pat noticed drifts of them here and there. They really aren't blue as much as they are purple, they just look blue in this photo. I don't know what they're called. In my garden I consider them weeds (they tend to take things over), but in nature they look perfect.

Lovely photo with the touch of 'bleu'. L'heure Bleue de Guerlain is my favorite perfume.
Pretty!
Oh! I hope someone can tell you. Are they some kind of lupine? Well, I just tried to look up blue flowers of the southern rocky mountains and got a lot of candidates. But can't imagine one becoming unwanted in the garden...still these may not be included in what I saw. I do get carried away sometimes.
