Saturday was the Parade of Lights, our annual holiday parade that takes place after dark on the first Saturday of December. Early in the afternoon, as I was finishing up some Christmas shopping, I ran into a couple of the parade floats farther up Tejon Street, all in various states of preparation for their big moment. Years ago I lived around the corner from where this picture was taken, and I loved parade days. I'd watch the participants getting ready and queuing up from my upstairs window. Such a fond memory.

I missed our local parade, which was back after skipping last year.
