Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Houses of the Holy

The Sisters of Saint Francis Abbey is open to one and all. There's a large Catholic (of course) church there, as well as multiple facilities for gatherings big and small. There's a beautiful cemetery for the nuns who spent their lives at Saint Francis, and there's a large assisted living center. But I don't know where the nuns live! A couple of rather nice Craftsman era homes look down on it all from the hills above. Maybe that's where they hang their habits at night.

And now, for your listening pleasure...

I'll bet you're right about where they live. And there probably aren't very many of them. My impression is that the St Francis nuns are active and not purely meditative, so I'll bet if there are any, they're working in the assisted living place. (I'm not Catholic, so I'm just guessing.)
