Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

A Minor Hiccup

My Thanksgiving weekend was marred by an hours-long visit to the ER as I was suffering from severe abdominal pain. After much poking, prodding, ultra-sounding and extracting of blood (ugh), it was determined that my gallbladder is in full revolt and will probably need to be removed sometime in the near future. Sigh. I also learned that this is a very common problem and solution, and to my surprise a large number of my friends commiserated with my situation on Facebook, telling me that they've had their gallbladder removed and it wasn't a big deal. Who knew so many of my friends were walking around with an organ missing? Anyway, I see a surgeon next week and honestly I'm so miserable and already so annoyed with the very bland diet I'm forced to eat now (to no avail, the pain persists, only a little less acute) I can't wait to say buh-bye to my gallbladder.

So sorry to hear but glad it is something that can be - easily - fixed. I hope you feel better soon.

Ouch, that sounds really painful. I'm glad to hear that it can be sorted.

Most people I've known have done just fine without a gall bladder.
And if it hurts badly, it's always been a relief. Glad you found out you're not alone in this, and that life goes on and is just as good.
Best wishes!!
