The El Paso Club
The cupola and part of the elaborate roof line of the historic El Paso Club on Platte and Tejon. It's always been a very exclusive men's club -- no women allowed. Totally old school, going back to 1877. There's even a dress code. The members voted on allowing women a few years ago, but the idea was shot down, not surprisingly. I've been inside the building exactly twice: once to photograph a birthday party in honor of one of its members, and once to photograph a wedding (the bride's father was, you guessed it, a member). It's quite beautiful inside. You could live here your entire life and never enter the El Paso Club's portals, especially if you have ovaries, so I guess I should be glad I got the chance to spend some time in there. ;^)

It is beautiful but they need to change that rule!
It's time for them to enter the 21st century!
Agreed, ladies!
It's a beautiful building.
And yes, it's beyond time for them to enter the 21st century. It might take the whole current generation of the club dying out to do that.
Looks like building.
