Whoever lives here is clearly a very committed fan! Honestly, I really think it's kinda cool. I wouldn't mind having this house in my neighborhood.

Dove Valley

While I was in Denver on Saturday with my friend Jenn, we randomly ended up in Dove Valley, which is where the Denver Broncos train. I'm not sure that this is the main facility (I think it isn't), but it's clearly part of it. I'm a big fan. It'd be cool to see the inside of this place!

Fans of the Orange Crush

Last Sunday, Pat and I went to brunch at the Omelette Parlor. In the adjacent bar, O'Furry's, the football game was in full swing and Bronco fans were riveted to the TV. Alas, the Broncos lost to the Jets and it was a big bummer! But fans of the Orange Crush are a resilient lot. Our team may be in a "rebuilding" phase, but we are ever hopeful for a winning season. Tomorrow we face off against the Rams. Go Broncos!

Sunday Style!

Oh dear, I forgot to make a Sunday Style post on Sunday! Darn it! I had the photo prepped and ready to go, I just got caught up in work and errands and football and... oops. It's officially Monday but I'm going to cheat and back date this post to 11:59PM, because Monday Style just doesn't sound nearly as good 😉

Anyway! Here's a lady I caught shopping with her friends a couple of weeks ago downtown. She looked great! I thought her long cardigan was really cool, interesting and textural (it even had little tassels attached to the tips of the "tails" of the slit in back), love that rustic leather handbag, and her short boots were stylish too.

Hope you had a good weekend! The Broncos got creamed by the Patriots, but I suppose we saw that coming from a mile away. Oh well! Happy Monday!

Ranch life

Yes, these are pigs. I skipped the Superbowl victory parade in Denver yesterday to hang out on a ranch near Simla and make some photographs. It's strictly a personal project not intended for the blog, but I took this particular photo just for CS Daily Photo. The ranch in question raises its animals humanely and without any use of hormones, antibiotics or other unnecessary practices -- and its main product is buffalo! I did take quite a few photos of the buffalo, but since this is all part of a bigger project, I won't be blogging them here. You'll just have to content yourself with these little pigs (and be glad you can't smell them through your screen).

A true fan

Everyone is still in a state of euphoria over the Broncos' Superbowl win! I spied this guy yesterday afternoon driving around with Broncos flags flying proudly from his car. Now that's a dedicated fan! Today is the big celebratory parade in Denver. I almost convinced myself to go, but I would have had to reschedule a photo shoot. I can't wait to see all the fun on the evening news. It'll be an exciting day in Denver for certain!

Urban uprising

These apartments are going up on South Nevada Avenue and Vermijo Street, near the downtown police station. There are more apartments slated to be constructed on Walnut and (I think) Kiowa, just west of I-25, and the other day I read that even more apartments will soon be going in on Wahsatch and Colorado, in what's currently a parking lot. I'm beginning to see a pattern here. More urban density in and around our downtown. I like this trend. You see it happening in cities all over Colorado, especially Denver. This is the right direction for us!

On a completely different note, I'm making a rare appearance on the blog -- a funny picture of me, below, at my brother's house moments after the Broncos won the Superbowl last night. I figure that since my friends and clients were game enough to ham it up for my camera and let me post crazy fan pictures of them (see yesterday's post), I should do the same. Did you watch the game? We were so excited when the clock wound down and our team won! Woo hoo! Thanks for an amazing season, Denver Broncos! Congratulations on winning the Superbowl!

Today is Superbowl Sunday and I'm so excited! All week I did free fan portraits for friends and clients at my studio. My only stipulation was that they be willing to ham it up for the camera and try to look tough. It was a ton of fun! Here are a handful of my favorites.

February 2016 Theme Day: Scene from a Coffee House

Hooray, it's Theme Day! The first of every month, participating City Daily Photo bloggers worldwide all post a similar subject. This month's theme is scene from a coffee house. Though I seem to spend an awful lot of my time in search of coffee, for some reason I just couldn't muster up any creativity for this particular theme. Finally, a few days ago I was in a downtown Starbucks and found my inspiration! Was it the man with the headphones, focused so intensely on his tablet? No. Was it that dramatic shaft of light slanting through the window? Nope. The lone coffee cup sitting at the edge of the frame? No way. It was that orange and blue banner strung up on the fence outside. Orange and blue, the colors of the Denver Broncos! My team is going to the Superbowl next Sunday, and the excitement has reached a fever pitch all over Colorado. Everywhere you look, it's orange and blue. Everyone should be inspired by those colors today! ;^)

Snow

Well, in the Superbowl there can be only one winner, and alas, this year it wasn't the Broncos. It was a tough loss for us Denver fans last night, but it has been an undeniably exciting season and I look forward to the next one!

I took this picture on Saturday, behind my studio. We have had a lot of snow in the last few days. It's pretty, but it's no fun to drive in! I guess we're anticipating more snow and cold tonight. Punxsutawney Phil has predicted six more weeks of winter. Here's your proof.

GO BRONCOS!!!

If you're not a fan of American football, this day probably means nothing to you. If you are a fan of American football, then you know it's the Superbowl, the Big Daddy of all sporting events in this country! And if you're a fan of the Seattle Seahawks or the Denver Broncos, well today is like Christmas, New Years, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Halloween all rolled into one, it's so exciting. I am OF COURSE a Broncos fan, as anyone who follows this blog already knows, so I'm about as excited as I can possibly be about this game! Today's post is a little out of the ordinary from my usual CS Daily Photo material -- these are pictures I took of Broncos fans in my studio (hence the Click Photography logo). I just put the word out to my friends on Facebook and asked them to come to the studio in full-on fan mode, game face on. I thought it'd be fun to show our team spirit here on the blog. GO BRONCOS!

This is Evelyn, who's eight months pregnant! She was a good sport and let me paint OMAHA in giant letters on her belly. (The Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning, frequently yells "Omaha" at the start of plays. It's become a rallying cry for Broncos fans.)

S is not quite two, but that's not too young to be a Broncos supporter!

Bursting with team spirit

I took these pictures on January 19th, just after the Denver Broncos won the AFC Championship against the New England Patriots. Pat and I went out looking for happy fans and found a few downtown. I spotted the guys in the above photo on Tejon Street, and the happy revelers below were captured on Pikes Peak Avenue. Look at how ecstatic they are! Hopefully we'll see more overjoyed faces just like these after Sunday's Superbowl! I'm getting excited, how about you? Go Broncos!

The big game is today!

Today's the big day! The Denver Broncos are facing off against the New England Patriots for the AFC championship. Whoever wins will go to the Superbowl. I am beside myself with excitement! The last few days have been an agony of waiting. This picture was taken in Denver last weekend, when we went to the playoff game against San Diego. Normally I'm not a huge fan of graffiti, but I have to admit that this Broncos-themed mural is pretty cool! It seems like everyone in Colorado has got Bronco Mania -- even my mom!

Wish us luck! It's going to be a nail-biter for certain! Go Broncos!

A clever marketing strategy

Last Sunday, Pat and I went with our friends Sam and Julia to the Denver Broncos playoff game against the San Diego Chargers in Denver. Parking is always a challenge at huge sporting events, but Sam, as a season ticket-holder, figured it out long ago -- he's got a "secret" parking spot near the stadium that's free and usually available. The only problem is that it's a bit of a walk in, but I have no problem with that! I thought it was funny (and smart) that this company parked its truck conspicuously where many Broncos fans would have to walk past it before and after the game, and even smarter that they planted a "sexy" blonde mannequin wearing the team colors right in the middle of the bed. Every single person noticed it! Extra points for naming their company "Garbagio", which is just plain funny.

Broncos versus Chargers!

Do you have a favorite sports team? Pat and I are HUGE fans of the Denver Broncos (and so are most of our friends, of course!). I have always wanted to go to a Broncos game, but never had the chance until yesterday, when the opportunity just fell into our laps thanks to our friends Sam and Jaime. And it was a playoff game to boot! We were so excited! Forgive me for posting lots of pictures today, but the game was amazing (we won!), and there were so many things to take photos of. I especially loved all the fans. What a great day! Go Broncos!

Whenever the Broncos score, flames and fireworks shoot up out of the scoreboard. Exciting!

I just love this guy's jersey. All of Denver's quarterbacks from the last many years, and their jersey numbers, are scribbled on it and then crossed off. "Who cares? Just win!" is written on his shoulders. Ha ha!

Bronco country

Pat and I came across this guy the other day in traffic. He's got it all: the US Army stickers, the God Bless America magnet, the Denver Broncos license plate frame, and most importantly, the Army flag and Broncos flag flying diplomat-style from the door frames. Gotta love Colorado Springs!
