2026 Hot Rod Rock & Rumble (Part 9)

Here are the last few shots from the Hot Rod Rock & Rumble. Pat took most of these; the only one I can take credit for is the (mediocre) image of the juggler. Pat told me that he had a short conversation with the guy proudly polishing the black Mustang Fastback. Apparently he and his dad restored it together. Look how gorgeous it is, it's downright enviable! I'm sad that PPIR is closing and the Hot Rod Rock & Rumble is coming to an end. It's always been one of my favorite summertime events. It's the end of an era, truly.

2026 Hot Rod Rock & Rumble (Part 7)

Pat got these amazing shots of the burnout competition. Well, I'm not actually sure if it was an organized competition, it may have been more of a "come one, come all, let's trash our tires and have an ass kicking good time" kind of thing. Anyway, I missed it entirely although I could see the clouds of smoke in the distance as I was following the pinups around. The guys in the little yellow truck completely shredded a tire and kept on going as the driver defiantly thrust his arm out the window and threw down the devil horns. The crowd went nuts! Ha! I'm sorry I missed that! Rock on, buddy! I did happen to walk past them afterward as they slowly crawled through the parking lot on on three tires and one rim, though. Good times!

Sorry I missed blogging yesterday, I'm pretty immersed in processing all my work from last weekend and I'm on a deadline to deliver the entire event in a short amount of time. Hopefully I'll have more of Pat's car pics for you tomorrow, but if I don't, I'm sure you'll understand.

2026 Hot Rod Rock & Rumble (Part 1)
