Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Sunday Style!

Well, dear readers, I am sick and have barely left my bed all day. I guess I will be ringing in the New Year with a thermometer in my mouth! Or more likely passed out and drooling on myself (thank you Nyquil ™). No worries, I nabbed this picture of a stylish pedestrian on Friday in Old Colorado City, so I'm not at a loss for what to post today.  What a cute outfit for a mild winter day. Love the hat!

Happy New Year, wherever you may be! Have a fun and safe celebration! See you in 2018!

We had 15° on Tuesday, but the freezing cold temps were short lived. Today it was 55° and a beautiful day to hang out downtown. Here's a view of Tejon Street looking north toward Pikes Peak Avenue.

Another one that you can see from outer space

This house on Union Boulevard just north of Constitution is a perennial hit locally. Every year they manage to cram more Christmas stuff in their yard. At this point you can barely even see the house anymore. It's hilarious! Great Christmas spirit!

Christmas sunset

Last night's sunset was pretty, but I missed the best of it as my friend Steph and I raced to get to a good vantage point before it disappeared. This is still a nice moment, though. I captured this from right outside my studio. I'm lucky to have a nice view there. 😊

Merry Christmas!

I was hoping for a white Christmas, but alas there has been almost no precipitation here in weeks. That's okay -- we hardly ever have snow on Christmas, actually! Do you remember this house on Beacon Street? I blogged about it on November 14th (HERE), and tonight we drove past it to see what it looked like in the dark. It didn't disappoint! A couple of other cars drove past as well, but I don't think this homeowner is getting enough appreciation for all his hard work. You should check it out yourself and make it worth his while! The address is 2613 Beacon, 80907, in the Roswell neighborhood.

Did you have a good day? We slept in, had cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast, then opened our presents. It was perfectly wonderful! I hope you got everything you wished for!
Notice the Christmas countdown clock. No detail has been overlooked!
