Skywatch Friday
A twilight shot of Pikes Peak overlooking Prospect Lake. This is the same view as last week's Skywatch Friday picture, but on a different day and hour. I'm now on a quest to get a nice picture from this vantage point of the sunset. Whenever we get a good one, I tend to jump in my car and rush to the overlook on Mesa Road, which takes ten to fifteen minutes depending on traffic -- I've complained here in the past about missing the sunset entirely thanks to slow drivers! It never dawned on me until last week that Prospect Lake, less than five minutes from my house, is probably AMAZING when we get a good sunset. A few days ago I made an attempt to be there at the right time, but alas, the sunset was a dud. On the other hand, I came away with this photo, which is gorgeous in its own right. But I'll get that sunset picture over Prospect Lake soon, I promise.

Beautiful choppy waters beneath a lovely moody sky.
A beautiful capture. The water does look choppy.
How beautiful! One doesn't expect to find so much water in Colorado--such a lovely photo.
Such a beautiful lake.
